Jorge Betancourt is from Isla Verde, Puerto Rico and currently resides in Coral Gables, Florida. George founded Betancourt Nutrition in 2002 with his wife, Charlene, with a single product, a fat-burner he later had to take off the market as it contained the now-banned ephedra. Michael Yatcilla, Ph.D. is the VP of Research & Development at Natrol. Dr. Yatcilla has published extensively in both scientific and trade journals on nutraceutical science and holds several patents in the field of nutraceuticals. Dr. Yatcilla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Stanford University, where he held an NIH Biotechnology Training Fellowship.
