Ed McNeely, MSc received his Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Ottawa in 1994 and has been involved in the strength and conditioning industry for 15 years. He is the author of three books, One Hundred Strength Exercises, Training for Rowing and Skillful Rowing, and is currently working on another book focused on integrating strength training in the high school and middle school PE curriculum. He has published over 100 articles on training and athlete conditioning, and is a frequent resource for other writers, acting as an expert for articles in Muscle & Fitness, Outside magazine, Georgia Tech Sports Medicine Newsletter, Rowing News, Globe and Mail, Ottawa Citizen and the Discovery Channel.

Tina Penhollow, Ph.D., CHES earned her doctorate in Health Science from the University of Arkansas. She holds a M.S. in Health Education from the University of West Florida and is a nationally Certified Health Education Specialist. Dr. Penhollow’s research on fitness and sexual desirability and sexual performance has been cited in Redbook, Cosmopolitan, SELF, Shape, Glamour, Allure, Men’s Health, Natural Health, Prevention, the Los Angeles Times, the London Times, ABCNews.com and many other popular magazines and news sources. Dr. Penhollow has authored or co-authored over 30 professional research presentations at various national and international conferences and has published several peer-reviewed scientific articles.
